Brink’s is one of the largest global companies in cash and valuables management, offering digital solutions for retail and ATM (Automated Teller Machine) management services. It serves a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, retailers, government agencies, mints, jewelry stores, and other industries, operating in over 100 countries. In Brazil, Brink’s has 76 branches and faced, five years ago, the challenge of finding a technology partner capable of providing managed products and services to ensure the security and continuity of its operations.
To support its expansion project, Brink’s found a robust technological solution in Teletex. The company provided a unified platform with managed services, a 24×7 SOC and NOC, enabling the secure outsourcing of data infrastructure and connectivity. Carlos Eduardo Jacinto da Silva, Brink’s Infrastructure and Information Security Manager, emphasized the importance of protecting IT infrastructure through continuous efforts. According to him, the decision to partner with Teletex was driven by the quality of its services and its strong partnership with Cisco, a leading name in networking and security. Since the solution’s implementation, Brink’s has not recorded any significant incidents.
As Brink’s continues to grow, the flexibility and scalability of the contracted services are essential to meeting current demands. The infrastructure is adaptable for temporary events, expansions, or specific projects. Heleno Fagundes, Teletex’s Commercial Manager, emphasizes that connectivity solutions for remote access, combined with edge protection layers, access control, and data center security, block hundreds of attack attempts, ensuring greater security for the company.
For Carlos Eduardo, trust in the robustness of the implemented solution is one of the greatest benefits. The quick resolution of failures contributes to the continuity of Brink’s business, which is essential for such a critical operation. He emphasizes that the upgrades made to the operation were successful thanks to Teletex’s support. The partnership ensured security and allowed for continuous improvements in the company's technological infrastructure.
In addition to security, Brink’s was able to significantly reduce operational costs. The service model based on renting network equipment for WiFi (Wireless) eliminated the need for investments in expensive equipment, granting access to cutting-edge technology. Fabrício Anselmo, IT and Applications Operations Manager at Brink’s, explains that this hiring model made budget management more efficient, with support and maintenance included in the service package.
The business model adopted also contributes to the longevity and performance of the equipment. This ensures that the technological infrastructure meets the business needs for a longer period, protecting Brink’s investment and ensuring a stable and secure operation.
